Bryde's AmeriCorps Spotlight - sense of accomplishment

Bryde is dedicating her summer to an impactful role at Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity, where she is serving as a construction AmeriCorps member. This position not only allows her to contribute to a significant cause but also provides her with the opportunity to engage with the community and gain valuable skills in construction and teamwork that she can utilize in her education as an Interior Design major at Iowa State University.

Throughout her service, Bryde is set to complete an impressive total of 450 hours focused on building affordable housing within the metro area. This hands-on AmeriCorps experience not only enhances her practical skills but also fosters a sense of accomplishment as she sees the tangible results of her service. Working alongside experienced builders and volunteers, she is learning about the construction process and the importance of collaboration in achieving common goals.
