Individuals temporarily serving at affiliate to address the needs of the community through Construction, Community Outreach, Resource Development, Volunteer Engagement and more. Members receive compensation and experience.
HOME program is a resource to reduce the amount of the sale price for homebuyers. This is an agreement between Habitat for Humanity of Iowa, the affiliate, and the homebuyer.
Federal Home Loan Bank
Affordable Housing Program
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB) offers an “Affordable Housing Program” designed to assist in the development of affordable housing for low-income households. This is for Habitat affiliates only.
Mortgage Leveraging
Program
The Mortgage Leveraging Program allows Habitat Iowa to act as a secondary lender for Habitat mortgages in Iowa.
Habitat Iowa provides packaging services for Section 502 Direct Loans offered through USDA Rural Development. This is for Habitat affiliates.
Habitat Iowa writes and administers a SHTF Project-based grant for Habitat affiliates up to $50,000.
