It’s #AmeriCorpsWeek and we’re highlighting another member in our program. Michal joined our team as a construction member serving at Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity. Michal has been wonderful local addition to the team and shown her passion for serving her community.

What inspired you to serve?
I wanted a chance to give back to my community while learning new skills.
This opportunity will allow me to gain hands-on experience in construction while also learning about the impact that safe and affordable housing can have on families. I am excited about the chance to break stereotypes in the construction field and to be part of a team that values growth and service!
What do you enjoy most about serving?
I love getting to meet new people almost every day and the conversations I have with them

Everyone is so nice and welcoming
