Celebrating Service During AmeriCorps Week

Every March, AmeriCorps Week gives us a special opportunity to pause, reflect, and celebrate the incredible individuals who choose to serve their communities. From March 9–13, we join partners across the country in recognizing the dedication, grit, and heart of AmeriCorps members who make change happen every day.

This AmeriCorps Week, Habitat for Humanity of Iowa is celebrating the AmeriCorps accomplishments.

AmeriCorps is A Legacy of Impact

Since 2019, Habitat for Humanity of Iowa AmeriCorps members have:

• Served more than 86,302 hours in communities across Iowa

• Built, repaired, or provided disaster response to 1,255 homes

• Made a measurable difference in rural and urban communities alike

• Continued a statewide legacy of service carried by over 630 members since 2003

These numbers tell a powerful story of how AmeriCorps members are helping families achieve stability, helping communities recover, and helping Habitat affiliates expand their reach beyond what would otherwise be possible.
