About the Event
Habitat Iowa hosts quarterly AmeriCorps Trainings. All members are required to attend. Alumni and supervisors are welcome to join. These are in-person and move locations each time. Most days will have guest speakers.
- Qt 1- Nov 1, 9-4pm - Waterloo, Iowa | Theme: Affordable Housing and Volunteer Management
- Qt 2- Jan 17 9-4pm - Des Moines, Iowa |Theme: Homelessness in Iowa, Conflict Management
- Qt 3- April 18 9-4pm- Cedar Rapids, Iowa | Theme: Redlining, Employability skills
- Qt 4- Jun 20 9-4pm - Altoona, Iowa| Theme: Advocacy, Board Practices, and Emotional Intelligence
Please arrive on time as we will have guest speakers for many of our topics each training day.
All time spent traveling is considered training hours plus all the time spent with Habitat team.
Lunch will be provided; We encourage members to bring water bottle and travel eatery to cut down on disposable products.
Bring: Notebook, pens, water bottle, layers of clothing (fieldtrips out of the office)
